Summing Up

This is cracking first game for Dranda, it comes with a small box brimming with quality components and a clean crisp graphic design that is instantly easy to understand. A well put together set of rules which make it a easy teach and a breezy playtime that means it won't outstay its welcome.
Where this stumbles is on integrating it's theme the idea of desperately attempting to survive on a ship as it plummets into the sun is a great elevator pitch but it seems a missed opportunity not to better integrate that theme into the games mechanics.
Fans of co-ops or anyone looking for that big box experience at a more reasonable price point will find a lot to enjoy here as a challenging puzzle to beat.

Mike takes a look at Solar Storm from Dranda Games. In this tiny one could almost say epic sized box is a surprising amount of game. Play as the beleaguered crew of a star ship as you fight to regain control and stop it plummeting into a star in this cooperative nail biter.
